So as no one thinks I have been completely care-free for the last 12 months since I posted, I have actually been up to my eyeballs in work! There were a few shows here and there, but most of my time has been spent preparing for this year’s Society of North American Goldsmith’s annual conference which will occur here, in Philadelphia. My task has been to coordinate the Student Show, which has been a highlight of the conference for years. I participated in the show as a students several times in he past and have had the privilege of putting the show together this year. Maybe privilege isn’t the right word, although it has been a lot of fun, very enlightening and sometimes inspiring, as I have now experienced the good, bad and ugly of exhibition coordination. The show, however, will be great, and for that I can thank the awesome applicants!
For those attending the conference, the show will be held at the Loews Hotel, on 13th and Market, in the Millennium Ballroom. (how regal!) For those who are not attending, well, you wont get to see the show as it is sequestered away and you must have conference passes check it out, BUT I will post some images here when the show is up and running.
